Summer Wedding Flowers at Priston Mill – Sian and Stewart

It’s really starting to feel as though summer is here…The weather is warming up and more and more summer varieties are becoming available at the market! Last week I provided beautiful summer wedding flowers at Priston Mill, one of my favourite venues near Bath. The gardens are looking particularly beautiful at Priston Mill right now, with clambering roses flowering all up the side of the barn buildings… the perfect backdrop to any summer wedding!

Sian was looking for soft, pale pink flowers in her bouquet with accents of lavender and wheat to sit alongside the flowers. I used ‘Pink Avalanche’ roses, a fabulous blowsy, open rose, pale pink dahlias… which I am so excited to see beginning to arrive at the market! This one time old fashioned flower is having a renaissance, and people are beginning to fall back in love with dahlias! I also used pale blue delphiniums, which set off the pink beautifully. Scented lavender and wheat fronds added that country garden feel to the bouquets, finished off with blush satin ribbon.

The boys had pale pink rose buttonholes with lavender and wheat and Priston Mill was decorated with clouds of gyp and pale pink petals lining the aisle providing a stunning walkway for the bride! Congratulations to Sian and Stewart!!
