I want to share with you today something so special and as a Somerset wedding florist I really do get to see some of the most special weddings! These Mount Without Wedding Flowers are full of the crispest white roses in a super stylish, modern design. My bride Alishia wanted her wedding at The Mount Without in Bristol to be full of candlelight and white roses, and these photos from Laura Wade Photography really do show off what a stunning day they both had!
The Mount Without, a wedding venue like no other:
The Mount Without is the most spectacular wedding venue around, an old church refurbished into the modern multi use space it is today, huge ceiling installations, beautiful stained glass and just the most incredible atmosphere you can find. Weddings here are some of the most stylish I have worked on so I will highly recommend a visit here if you are planning a wedding in the South West.
Modern, luxury bridal bouquet in the form of all white roses:
The bride and bridesmaids bouquets were full of blousy ivory roses, scented sweet peas and frilly double white lisianthus. A compact, asymmetrical modern design the bouquets really complimented the dresses perfectly. The buttonholes were Ivory roses, simple and the ideal accompaniment to the black tie attire. I am in love with Alishia wedding shoes, those pearl encrusted Jimmy Choo's are to die for!
How to create unforgettable impact with your ceremony florals:
The ceremony is held on the altar steps at The Mount Without, with the stained glass as a beautiful backdrop. The steps were adorned with all of the white roses, converting a super stylish and modern feel to the steps! This created a really romantic, rose filled look for the ceremony, one of floral abundance and opulence.
We also created two larger statement floral pieces to sit either side of the ceremony and frame the couple, in such a magnificent space as The Mount Without something as simple as all white blooms can be so impactful against the beautiful coloured stained glass window. The white ceramic pots were full of insanely beautiful delphiniums, big blousy roses and the fluffiest of white hydrangeas. This flower filled, modern look has become increasingly popular, one that embraces the flower in its whole form and how the flowers work together without the natural elements of foliage.
Dressing the tables with wedding flowers:
One of the great thing about The Mount Without (and there are lots!) is their furniture, so often venues you need to think about linen to cover the plain tables, whereas these stylish wooden banquet tables are perfect laid bare, or with the addition of runners/ table cloths. The tables were full of low bowls overflowing with a modern design of crisp white roses. In between we placed votives of single stem roses to continue the full look throughout the length of the table. When using long banquet tables, it is important to use vases and vessels in different sizes to provide interest and texture to the whole table. Bud vases are a great way to break up the larger, fuller arrangement and ensure that all of your guests can be surrounded by beautiful blooms whilst enjoying their dinner!
Using candlelight on your wedding breakfast tables:
The tables were filled with lots of beautiful candlelight, a must for atmospheric nature of The Mount Without, even in the summer! By using candles, whether coloured tapered or in glass votives/lanterns you can really elevate your tables capes adding a further dimension that compliments the flowers. In the summer months candlelight can be an extra element to your wedding aesthetic, however in the winter months the candlelight is a given.
End of table flower installations:
To complete the look of the dining tables and ensure a cohesive feel to the whole space, we placed floral designs at the end of each long table. These neatly sit on the floor and accentuate the end of the table and complimenting the linen. The tall delphiniums do a magnificent job of bringing structure to the arrangements, whilst the roses and hydrangeas soften up the look.
