I have THE most gorgeous wedding photos to share from you, from THE most wonderful wedding I worked on back in March! Emily is a professional make up artist and runs her own company Beauty by Emily Faith, so it is always such an honour when a fellow wedding pro chooses you to help with their big day! Emily and Tom were married at the end of March at The Battleaxes, a gorgeous country pub in Bristol, and just take a peek at this serious amount of heavenly spring!
From the outset Emily had a really clear vision for her day, focusing around yellow and grey and it was great that Emily was so keen to use seasonal spring flowers, including daffodils… her faves! Emily was also open to ideas too, as her dress had a very pale mocha hint to it, it wasn’t the traditional ivory gown, so we thought that the yellows here wouldn’t work. Instead we focused on (my now new favourite!) daffodil, which is cream with a gorgeous peachy/orange centre, and worked with this. By adding in other cream narcissi, pale peach roses, ivory ranunculus and touches of the yellow in the form craspedia, this combination was far more fitting to suit her beautiful gown.
The bridesmaids were dressed in amazing grey dresses with the underside showing peeps of yellow, so a big bold bouquet of yellow daffs, narcissi, craspedia and ranunculus did just the job! Emily’s flower girl carried a posy of all daffodils… can you get more spring than that?! The boys had tied, rustic buttonholes of narcissi, craspedia and soft grey eucalyptus sprigs.
Emily and Tom’s venue was The Battleaxes, a beautiful country pub in Wraxall. This was my first visit out here and I loved it! It had a really good feel to the place, and the ceremony room was filled with mis matched, wooden chairs giving the pub a great look. I tied spring bunches onto each chair, and the table decorations were placed around the ceremony room to add more colour. On the ceremony table, I filled a galvanised silver trough full of spring flowers. The Battleaxes have long tables, so bunches of spring flowers were places in old tankards that Emily had collected and provided such great colour along the tables!
Kirsten from The Little Wedding Helper, did a great job of transforming the venue, with all her little special touches, such as these pin wheels for the ceremony backdrop! It is always great to know that the turnaround from ceremony to reception is in great hands, with Kirsten transforming from one to the other.
