2012 has been such a fantastic year for me as it’s the year I launched my floristry business The Rose Shed and became my own boss! After years of working as a florist for other people and dreaming of owning my own business, earlier this year I took the plunge and finally went self employed, I seriously have not looked back. Since launching in May I have had the pleasure of doing wedding flowers for 16 lovely couples, worked in some seriously amazing wedding venues, been featured in national wedding magazine Wedding Ideas…three times! and met a whole load of lovely new people in the wedding industry, who like me work for themselves and love what they do.
A few special people have helped me along the way and I am forever grateful to them… for helping me to choose the best photos for the website, reading and re-reading the text for the website, for them listening to me fret about whether my lilies will open in time (they always do :)) and for help with delivering the big weddings!
Exciting times lie ahead, I couldn’t be more happier with how The Rose Shed is progressing and I cannot wait to get cracking on 2013’s weddings! Here’s to a happy and healthy new year all round! Love Rachel xxx
