Coral Wedding Flowers – Ellie and Harry marry at Rookery Manor, Somerset

When Ellie came to me asking for coral wedding flowers I was so looking forward to getting involved with this wedding. Ellie and Harry got married at Rookery Manor, Somerset with their ceremony being held in The Rose Room. The couple had chosen a coral theme for the wedding and Ellie was keen to use roses and gerberas as her main flowers within the bouquets. I advised that it would be a lovely idea too add in peach and ivory flowers into the equation as this softens the coral and the three tones together look wonderful.

Ellie opted for a gorgeous mass of ivory avalanche roses for her bridal bouquet, this is such a classic and elegant combination and completely complimented her beautiful lace dress with full length veil. Avalanche roses work so well in wedding work, a true, blousy rose they are the epitomy of romance! The bouquet was bound with ivory lace and secured with pearl headed pins.

The three bridesmaids carried hand-tied posy bouquets of coral roses, peach germini and ivory avalanche roses, with soft grey eucalyptus. Ellie wanted the bouquets to be very neat and tightly compact, full of flowers so I made lovely, domed bridesmaids bouquets. This colour combination worked so well together and I thouroughly enjoyed creating flowers for this wedding. The bridesmaids wore full length, soft coral dresses and the overall effect with the flowers was stunning.

Peach and Coral are becoming more and more popular within weddings so I look forward to working with more brides using this colour theme. Miss Piggy is a coral rose available at the moment, almost fluerescent in its nature, it is a true coral coloured flower, but also a lovely shaped rose. A rose perfect for spring and summer bright weddings, or the more autumnal, rich coloured weddings.

The buttonholes were Avalanche roses with eucalptus foliage, I love this photo that Phil, the Father of the Bride took of his and his wive’s buttonhole. I like to label each buttonhole to avoid confusion.. You do not want the Groom ending up wearing Aunty Muriels Corsage! Phil is known for his excellent photography so I am very grateful for these photos he sent me the next day. Wishing lots of love and happiness to Ellie and Harry xx
