Beeses Tea Garden’s Wedding Flowers – Melissa and Pete

Melissa and Pete were married last Saturday and enjoyed their reception at Beeses Tea Gardens, Bristol, a lovely little place which you can get to by boat! The happy couple focused on a bright colour scheme as their invites were multi coloured focusing on reds, oranges, yellows, blues and purples. However, when it came to her bridal bouquet, Melissa wanted to just stick to the warm colours of reds, yellows and oranges. This would also tie in as the boys were wearing orange ties.

I absolutely loved Melissa’s bouquet! I got to use red and orange dahlias, orange snaps, mini sunflower, helanium, the most amazing red zinnias, home grown crocosmia, with lime green mollis and soli to add a wispy texture to the bouquet. I bound the stems with orange ribbon. Melissa’s bridesmaid had a smaller version of her bouquet.

The boys had orange pom pom dahlia buttonholes with sprigs of rosemary, eucalyptus and myrtle tied with thin orange ribbon. I bet these looked fab next to the orange ties! A lovely change to use dahlias as buttonholes as they are a perfect flower in season for August.

I used jam jars filled with seasonal flowers such as sunflowers, dahlias, zinnias, asclepias, delphiniums, lisianthus and snaps arranged loosely which were placed on the tables to add colour and decoration, in a natural and informal way. The little wedding helper, Kirsten decorated the marquee with multi coloured Mexican bunting and other special touches which looked great, So nice to see a multi coloured wedding! Lots of love to the happy couple!
