Beautiful wedding rose varieties

8th August 2016

I am not called The Rose Shed for nothing you know, and no wedding is complete without a tonne of roses! This summer I have been using lots of beautiful varieties and wanted to share them with you in this blog for wedding inspiration. Blush and peach tones are becoming more and more popular with my couples and there are some just stunning rose varieties available in these shades. Alongside coral, ivory and pink roses, here are a few of my favourites that I have had the pleasure of working with so far this year.

Above we have a beautiful selection of O Hara, Avalanche, Bombastic spray roses and peach Jana spray roses! Don’t they all look delightful packed in together like that!?

Here we have two very popular roses for wedding flowers. The beautiful blowsy Sweet Avalanche, a pale pink large headed rose perfect for wedding work. Then we have the show stopper Vuvuzela, a ruffled coral rose with layers upon layers of petals… you just want to eat them all up!

This is one of my most favourite roses ever! The beautiful White O Hara rose, a soft blush garden style rose. It has the most incredible old fashioned rose scent that is missing from lots of commercially grown roses. With so many gorgeous roses to choose from, which one is your favourite?

  • I’m always surprised by brides who say they don’t want roses in their wedding florals. As your post demonstrates, there are many beautiful varieties. Surely there’s a rose for every bride.
