Wedding Flowers at Cripps Barn – Laura and Will

Easter weekend was a busy one here at The Rose Shed filled with more spring flowers than you can imagine! I provided wedding flowers at the beautiful Cripps Barn in the Cotswolds, for Laura and Will who were married on Easter Monday. They choose a beautiful soft colour palette of spring pastel shades and this fitted in perfectly with the barn, and all the gorgeous gardens surrounding it.

For Laura and her bridesmaids bouquets I used a mix of ivory and blush spring flowers, including the most amazing ranunculus variety called ‘Hanoi’ it is a larger headed ranunculus, and offers so much more impact than a regular sized one… they could be a contender for my favourite flower variety of the season! Alongside white lilac, ginista, white ranunculus, anemones and roses and beautiful soft green, trailing foliage such as jasmine and eucalyptus, the bouquet was a vision of spring!

The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the brides bouquet and the boys wore simple, white ranunculus buttonholes. Cripps Barn is one of my favourite venues to decorate because of the ability to provide hanging installations. I created two humongous flower balls suspended from the ceiling, these have such great impact and really make the barn feel special … which is totally what you want on your wedding day! Filled with lots of natural foliage and an elegant mix of all white flowers such as stocks, larkspur, wax flower, lisianthus they really did look fab.

The mantel piece was dressed with a natural foliage garland filled with ivory flowers. For the table decorations, I added in a touch more colour in the form of pale blue muscari, pale pink ranunculus and cream lisianthus, alongside the white flowers. The arrangements were sat on piles of vintage books as the bride is an English teacher. The flowers and foliage trailed down over the books, which were placed on long banquet tables. It was such a treat working on Laura and Will’s big day and decorating Cripps Barn, as always such a pleasure! Congratulations both!
