These peach ranunculus have received a lot of love this week on Instagram, so I thought I would share them on the blog! Ordered in especially for my wedding this Thursday in Stow on the Wold, this gorgeous peach and coral toned ranunculus made my week! The perfect seasonal flower for April weddings, aren’t they just so beautiful?!
After a grey couple of weeks here in Bristol, and feeling like we are in a never-ending spell of winter! It was great to fill the studio with tons of gorgeous spring blooms from ranunculus to anemone, to narcissi and tulips, it is such a great time of year for flowers.
Carla and Dan focused on ivory, pale peach, coral, cream and cappuccino tones for their wedding in Stow on the Wold, really gorgeous colours for this time of year! By adding in the peach, coral and cappuccino it is a more modern twist to the classic cream and pale yellow colours people tend to opt for in spring, particularly Easter weekend. I love this colour combination, and so does Betsy by the look of it!
The bouquets were filled with ‘Cappuccino’ roses, pale peach ‘Charmant’ roses, salmon and cream ranunculus, the prettiest white muscari, fritillaries and astrantia. I used various forms of foliage including eucalyptus, poplas and parvi alongside trailing grasses, which add so much interest and movement to the bouquets.
Isn’t spring just the most wonderful time of the year to be married?! The promise of a new start and a new year, with all of nature springing into life. The trees are beginning to bud and some blossom is out (this is the time of year when us florists are forever blossom spotting, dreaming we could chop it down for our arrangements, instead of bring on the blossom twigs we get in from our market!) Maybe one day I will have an orchard where I can cut my own blossom from, what do you think?!
