First up is the classic ranunculus, a small blousy flower it is from the same family as the peony. For those of you who are regular readers you will know that I love a ranunculus! I used berried eucalyptus and some tiny spring twigs to support the ranunculus and add that rustic, natural touch that is so popular at the moment.

Anemone are another classic spring flower, and this white variety with the black centre has a slight modern feel to it. It looks great in an all white colour scheme or adding that touch of rich darkness within any colour scheme. The foliage I used with the anemone buttonhole is green bell sprigs, a tiny amount of white blossom and eucalyptus all shining examples of spring foliage.

Finally we have the hellebore, a stunning spring flower and one that is grown a lot in the gardens over here. Coming in a variety of colours from dark plum to pale pink, I think the ivory is so simple and classic and perfect for a spring wedding! Here I used asparagus fern, trailing jasmine sprigs and camellia leaves to back the beautiful hellebore.

Which spring buttonhole is your favourite? It is becoming more popular for couples to chose a variety of buttonholes for their big day using similar flowers in the same colour way so you get a look like this. I think its a fab idea and each buttonhole is slightly unique to the person wearing it!
