St Audries Wedding Flowers, Vintage Inspired Roses

At the end of November I provided wedding flowers for the lovely Jess who got married at St Audries Park on the Quantocks, Somerset. Jess had a clear vision of the type of wedding flowers she was looking for and wanted to stick to a vintage inspired colour palette of dusky pinks, lilacs and soft pastel shades with an emphasis on using beautiful roses.

There are so many vintage looking roses available now, however I chose to stick to just a few different varieties including ‘Upper Secret’ ‘Avalanche’ ‘Sweet Avalanche’ ‘Memory Lane’ and ‘Mentha’ my new favourite rose! Such a dusky, muted rose the colour of parchment… perfect for the look Jess was after.

To add texture and interest to the bouquets I used ivory ranunculus, a small blousy flower which works wonderfully against roses. I also used pale pink astilbe, pale plum astrantia, lisianthus, scented white narcissi and pale grey eucalyptus foliage. Jess’ three bridesmaids had a smaller version of her bouquet, whilst the guys had Upper Secret and eucalyptus foliage buttonholes.

Thanks to Evolve photography for these fab pics, it looks like a beautiful wedding day and I wish you huge Congratulations!
