Spring pretty at Almonry Barn

I worked on the most amazing wedding flowers this spring at Almonry Barn in Somerset! Sam and Tom had the most exquisite taste when it came to flowers, and wanted tonnes of ivory spring blooms to help dress the church and barn for their big day. Filled with scented lilac, stocks, anemones, ranunculus, roses… the list goes on! This has been one of my all time favourite weddings to work on, and when you see these STUNNING photos from Simon Biffen Photography you will see why.

Sam looked like absolutely beautiful in her bespoke Sassi Halford dress and the girls looked great in these gorgeous grey dresses. It was a real sophisticated colour way and by using all ivory flowers this lightened the look and kept it spring fresh for their April wedding!

The church was decorated with tall milk churns filled with seasonal natural blooms, with pew ends and large stone urns dressing the inside of the church. Almonry church is so pretty and it is perfect that is just over the road from the barn, perfect for all the guests to just walk over after the ceremony! And carry the flowers too!

Almonry Barn is always one of my favourite venues to decorate, it has such a great feel to it inside, and the gardens are beautiful! I filled the barn with tall glass vases with a large natural arrangement on the top, filled with hydrangeas, stocks, snaps, astilbe, roses and blossom with lots of foliage. At the base of the vase I used glass votives filled with single blooms and foliage sprigs. On each place setting was either a sprig of foliage or an ivory bloom, it is these extra special touches that make all the difference!

The simple iced cake was decorated with rosemary sprigs, which looked really effective! Thanks so much to Sam and Tom for letting me share their wedding photos, it was an absolute privilege to help out on your special day. And huge thanks to Simon Biffen for sharing the photos also!
