Last week I provided event flowers for The Royal Town Planning Institute summer event held at the County Ground, in Taunton, Somerset. The brief was to include summery, seasonal and bright flowers featuring the colour blue! I used hand tied, natural looking bunches placed in tall glass vases which sat in the centre of each table.
The flowers I used were tall blue delphiniums, a summer staple which offers great impact and also comes in a variety of lovely colours all the way from white through to pale blues, purples to bright blues. White stocks were used to add scent to the vases, I absolutely adore stocks and tend to use them constantly throughout the summer, the white ones tend to offer a lot more scent than the other colours too so they are my particular fave! Daisy spray, green bell foliage, salal, yellow gerbs and yellow spray roses were also used to add a zingy touch of lime green and yellow, brightening up the whole look, screaming out summer.
