June, the perfect high summer month where we are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing wedding flowers! Charlotte was married last week at the Guildhall in Bath, a beautiful building with Bath grandeur décor in buckets. Charlotte wanted to keep to a pale pink and pale yellow colour way for her wedding flowers, specifically focusing on Sweet Avalanche roses, tanacetum – which are tiny daisies, cream lisianthus, with bright yellow craspedia and green bell foliage.
I love how the craspedia pops against the otherwise pale, subtly flowers, and also brings out the bright yellow centre of the daisies.. I am a big fan of pink and yellow and feel this is a fabulous colour combo for summer weddings flowers!
The boys had rustic, tied buttonholes of pale pink spray roses, craspedia, daisies and green bell. I have only come into contact with green bell foliage over the last couple of years and now I find it a staple foliage for the summer months, its soft, yet spikey and offers so much texture and movement. It also has a lovely scent that I cant put my finger on… the meadow/mown grass type scent you know what I mean!
Congratulations to the happy couple, your beautiful summery flowers definitely matched the scorcher of a day you had for your wedding!
