Riverstation, Bristol Wedding Flowers – Sian and Will

Peony season already seems like a lifetime ago, but I was brought back to May when Sian sent me a selection of photos from her wedding day at Riverstation in Bristol, a beautiful restaurant venue on the edge of the harbourside. Sian and Will chose summery pinks, purples with hints of pale blue with lime green for their wedding flowers. Thanks to Somerset Wedding Photographer  Sam Gibson for these fab photos!

Sian choose a hand tied bouquet filled with blousy ‘Sarah Berndhart’ peonies, purple hydrangeas and lisianthus, pale pink ranunculus with pink spray roses and roses. I added in touches of pale blue delphiniums with white nigella and lilac veronica. Packed full of texture I loved Sian’s bouquet so vibrant in colour yet soft and romantic also. I used green bell, bright green mollis and rosemary for foliage. How cool is this photo of Sian’s bouquet? Love how the turquoise background makes the flowers pop.

When it came to decorating Riverstation Sian wanted a relaxed, informal feel to the day so we focused on using lots of jam jars and kilner jars filled with seasonal goodies including peonies, stocks, lisianthus, veronica, nigella and delphiniums. Riverstation is such a light venue with large glass windows so it was great to use glass containers yet fill them with brightly coloured blooms.

Such a lovely couple, I am really grateful for you guys sharing your photos of your big day with me, it’s always so lovely when couples take the time out to do this and allows me to see how wonderful the day is when it finally all comes together!
