If you are looking for a North Devon wedding florist then please read on, I have the most beautiful autumnal wedding flowers to share! Watermouth Cove is a coastal wedding venue with breathtaking views. The view from the ceremony lookout is out of this world! I wanted to replicate the autumnal warm tones in the natural environment so used a palette of rich browns and nudes, think toffee roses and wild bracken!
The bridal bouquets consisted of toffee roses, quicksand roses, white nerines with pure white ruskus, bracken and foliage. Autumn is the time for chrysanthemums and this 'copper vienna' variety is so beautiful. A muted, yet warm brown with layers of intricate textured petals it really is one flower to consider. I love this colour combination against the forest green bridesmaid dresses. Super stylish, yet natural and elegant.
As wedding florists in North Devon we are used to providing flowers in amazing locations, Watermouth Cove is no exception. I created a floral installation on the look out pergola, dressing both sides in an asymmetrical design. When discussing ceremony florals with my couples I emphasise the importance of dressing this space for maximum impact. I may be biased but wouldn't it be amazing to be surrounded by blooms as you are saying your vows!
Autumn wedding flowers need to be filled with lots of texture and interest, which is where foliage comes in! By using a combination of fresh and dried you get a really interesting look, the white ruskus really stands out against the burnt bracken. I love the white fluffy cotton balls too, I love using varied elements in my designs, installations that are completely seasonal and in keeping with the surroundings.
The tables inside Watermouth Cove were dressed with ivory ceramic pots filled with autumnal blooms. The green runners and florals fitted in perfectly on the rustic wooden tables. These pots are so versatile and work well in the centre of round tables or placed down longer tables with bud vases dotted throughout.
