Kingscote Barn Wedding Flowers – Cotswold Wedding Florist

Getting married in the Cotswolds has to be one of the most beautiful places to do so! Sarah and Max were looking for wedding flowers for their wedding at Kingscote Barn, Tetbury and I was more than happy to help! Sarah had such a good vision when it came to choosing her wedding flowers opting for a pale pink, orange, peach and red colour scheme with a hint of dark plum to add depth. As soon as Sarah started describing what she wanted I could see it in my head and was looking forward to making the bouquets there and then!

Like a lot of brides Sarah wanted to use pe0nies, however in August they were unavailable so I substituted these for the equally beautiful scented pink O Hara roses. Alongside pale pink and bright orange dahlias, red piano spray roses, apricot lisianthus and the most amazing dark plum scabious, the roses sat! It was important for the bouquets to have lots of texture so I used crocosmia which is perfect for late summer and a elongated, orange spiky type flower which offers great movement. Asclepias and daisy spray brought more texure to the bouquets alongside foliage such as fountain grass, ferns and various eucalyptus.

Sarah’s bridesmaids carried similar bouquets to hers and the boys had multi coloured mixed tied buttonholes, so each guy had a different flower! I think this is a great idea and by sticking to the colour theme but using different flowers you get a real unique and personal look.

Initially the happy couple had wanted to get married outside but typically this August day was a little unpredictable so instead of hanging the floral hearts outside on the pergola the three hearts were hung from the balcony alongside lots of brightly coloured pom poms. Congratulations guys it was a real pleasure working with you! To see more wedding flowers at Kingscote Barn do take a peek here!
