Bristol Hotel du Vin Wedding Flowers

Mel and Dickie were married at Hotel du Vin in Bristol in September and choose beautiful blush pink and ivory wedding flowers for their big day! I loved working with Mel as she had a great vision for how she wanted their wedding to look, married at a church in the city centre and then holding their reception at Hotel du Vin. I want to share with you a few of their beautiful wedding flowers from Lightbox Studios.

Mel’s bouquet was filled with beautiful blush, O Hara roses and Sweet Avalanche roses, ivory dahlias, lisianthus, veronica, wax flower with soft grey eucalyptus. Mel wanted her bouquet to be filled with texture and the scent of the O Hara roses is insane! I think her bouquet looks just at home next to those Louboutins don’t you?!

Mel’s bridesmaids carried bouquets of gyp and the boys had mis matched, tied buttonholes of seasonal blush and ivory flowers. When it came to decorating the church, I placed rose petals along each side of the aisle, amongst lanterns Mel had hired, this looked stunning and really added an extra special touch to the aisle. Pew ends of gyp were hung from the pews, and two beautiful stone urns filled with a natural arrangement were placed at the altar. Cones of confetti for the guests to throw, were placed in the porch.. don’t they look cute in this wooden box!?

When it came to decorating Hotel du Vin Mel had a great vision for how she wanted to decorate the room, it did look fab when we left and she had put in so much effort in providing extra special touches. I hung large flowery gyp balls from the ceiling, and bar, providing great interest to the high ceilings at Hotel du Vin, you will never know how much gyp this needed… practically my whole van was filled with gyp on the way back from the market!

The tables were dressed with glass vases filled with twisted hazel, with pearl strings and beaded crystals draped over the twigs. Mel provided lots of mercury glass votives for the base of the table providing lots of sparkles!

Mel writes a lovely blog, White Cotton Peonies and has also written various blogs on planning her wedding, filled with loads of helpful tips for brides to be! Have a read of her write up about choosing flowers here!
