Huntstile Organic Farm is the most beautiful place to be married on the Quantocks in Somerset, so I was thrilled when Jo asked me to do her flowers for her August wedding! Jo and Sam were always keen on using bright, warm summer tones for their wedding flowers and August has so many gorgeous flower varieties about to choose from. An August bride will always be spoilt for choice! We chose coral, pale pink and lilac colours and focused on a natural, loose, organic style throughout the wedding flowers, including two epic hanging flower balls from the marquee ceiling!

Purple Pear Tree Photo took these lovely images, and thanks Jo for sending through! Here is a little round up of their big day, enjoy! The girls wore bright coral dresses, so the mix of colours in the bouquets worked so well, encapsulating a high summer spirit! The bouquets were filled with British grown dahlias, trailing lilac clematis, blowsy garden roses and spray roses. I concentrated on using green foliage with lots of tendrils and sweet pea trails offering tons of texture. I was so pleased with the bouquets, and just look how stunning Jo and BMS look!

The boys had mixed tied buttonholes, of smaller flowers. Don’t they all look amazing in their waistcoats!? You can get married outside at Huntstile Farm so Jo and Sam wanted a really laid back, country feel to their wedding, which you can totally see from these photos.

The marquee was dressed with lots of bottles filled with seasonal, colourful blooms on the tables, and I created two large hanging flower installations in the ceiling. The whole marquee had a neutral white backdrop, so these large, colourful hanging flower balls created so much impact within the marquee and such a focal point. Everyone was commenting on the morning when we were making them!

I loved working with Jo she was always so excited about flowers, knowing she wanted bright, seasonal, natural blooms was right up my street! Her style and taste were exceptional but she was also keen to trust my advice and opinion on what would work well on the day! Such a great wedding to work on, it was my pleasure… Also more dogs at weddings please!
