Winter wedding flowers
Hotel Endsleigh, Devon
Our couple were married in the middle of December in a beautiful church in Tavistock, as the wedding was so close to Christmas the church was stylishly dressed with statement Christmas trees with twinkling fairy lights. As the church had existing decoration in the form of the Christmas trees, we decided to keep the wedding florals simple and minimal, to compliment the beauty of the trees. Large stone urns, full of tumbling seasonal foliage & crisp white blooms adorned the altar, providing a great backdrop to the wedding ceremony. As well as the urn arrangements we dressed the stone pillars with meadow arrangements at the base. This ensured that the look was cohesive and really provided an immersive floral feel to frame the happy couple during their vows.
December brings lots of beautiful options for winter flowers, and within the church we used varieties such as large headed chrysanthemum blooms, scented stocks, blousy roses, fluffy white lisianthus. Foliage is super important at this time of year so we opted for various shades of green from the deep forest green of asparagus and magnolia through to the softer sage greens of eucalyptus & olive. The trailing asparagus fern adds lots of texture and is something that weaves throughout the whole day.
The bridal bouquets consisted of icy white calla lilies and blousy roses, which formed elegantly stylish hand tied bouquets to perfectly compliment the stunning dresses.

reception flowers at hotel endsleigh
The wedding reception was held at Hotel Endsleigh, a truly stunning boutique hotel on the edge of Dartmoor. The brief for the florals here was the complete opposite to the church, and we embraced rich ruby red on masse with accents of variegated golly and tons of asparagus fern. Where as the church florals were timeless & considered, the aim for the wedding breakfast was to really embrace a more modern & stylish approach to placing flowers in clusters on masse and using just a few varieties of blooms throughout.
The tables were beautifully styled with sumptuous navy velvet cloths, with every detail considered. Low gold urns were filled with statement arrangements of roses, amaryllis & berries, alongside low votives & vases dispersed in between. This offered a super luxurious, full look to the tables and ensured guests had an incredible dining experience.
We dressed the huge windows with stunning foliage garlands, swathed in fairylights accessorised with velvet bows. The modern tech of including velvet trailing bows throughout created such impact. The stables have hanging chandeliers, which we dressed with delicate, trailing foliage such as asparagus fern & ivy trails, alongside the ribbons this allowed for such atmosphere within the ceiling and really completed the whole look.
“It was such a pleasure working with you. The arrangements truly surpassed all expectations and we absolutely loved how everything turned out. I also have to mention the team at The Hotel Endsleigh told us the florals were the best they've seen and said how lovely it was to work with you ”
