Croyde
north devon marquee wedding
Our happy couple were married in late September meaning a whole host of beautiful seasonal flowers were on offer. Beginning with a ceremony at the local church in Lee Bay, followed on by a stunning marquee overlooking the view at Croyde beach.

Croyde, Devon.
We are spoilt for choice with beaches on the North Devon coast, however this view at Croyde from the wedding marquee has to be one of the most beautiful. Set right at the very edge, the view looked down upon the beach, you felt completely encapsulated by the sea. When it came to dressing the marquee with flowers our couple wanted showstopping pieces, created in a natural and elegant design.
Large statement chandeliers were hung from the ceiling full of trailing late summer foliage, rose hips, muted hydrangea branches alongside touches of pale pink in the form of snowberries. Alongside the chandeliers in the ceiling we created botanical style garlands to soften the marquee ceiling and create an intimate, natural atmosphere. The entrance to the marquee was decorated with a beautiful floral archway to greet guests upon arrival and create a ‘wow’ entrance, which led onto the bar installation full of baskets of seasonal blooms and foliage, carefully created ceramic vases and florals to dress the beautiful illustrations, designed by the bride herself.
The long tables in the marquee were a mixture of sizes, lending themselves perfectly for classy bud vases and votives full of delicate and textured bloom. The decorations had to work alongside sharing platters, so we kept the table florals simple yet effective.

wedding flowers at Lee Bay church
Our couple wanted to make a huge impact at the church and to fully embrace all of September’s finest seasonal flowers. We created a stunning floral archway dressing the whole entrance to the church, in an overflowing and tumbling design full of trailing foliage and seasonal blooms. When finished it looked like part of a beautiful garden that had always been growing outside of the church. Natural, elegant, stylish and of course seasonal! This is certainly how you make an entrance to your wedding, and most importantly walking back through as newly weds!
The beautiful church inside dictated the colour palette for the whole wedding, pale pink, pale blue with hints of red were taken from the painted interior or Lee Bay church. We tied lots of tiny posies throughout the church to replicate the intricate details on the wall, with larger more focal arrangements at the altar and the windowsills.
A further archway was flowered at the first entrance to the church, tucked off a little country lane you spotted the flowers and knew straight away you were at your destination.
The bridal bouquets were delicate, dainty and embraced soft pastel tones of ivory, pale blue and soft blush pink, complimenting the dresses perfectly. Whilst, the boys had tied buttonholes of locally grown ecinops, snowberries with rosemary foliage sprigs, all tied off with pale blue ribbon. A wedding full of tiny little details that contributed to making the day a truly magical one!
“I was completely blown away with how beautiful the flowers looked, you are so talented! All the colours I had been daydreaming about looked even better than they did in my imagination”
