This beautiful wedding at Priston Mill is filled with the most pretty, pink flowers including everyone’s favourite peonies! June is the best month for peonies, they come in from the market fully open, with layers of fluffy petals willing to play ball! At the start of the peony season they can be so tight, small and like bullets needing A LOT of TLC to get them open. I wont mention the sleepless nights worrying about whether they will be open, or putting the heating on in the middle of the day to help them along! If you’re a fan of the peony, then June’s the wedding month for you.
Rachael was one of the most sweetest brides I’ve worked with, she was so excited throughout the planning process and really open to ideas about what would work, trusting me to create her wedding flowers with her brief of pink, pretty and blowsy! Rachael and Sekani were married at one of my favourite venues, Priston Mill Tythe Barn near Bath, and they wanted flowers everywhere!
Rachael’s bouquets were filled to the brim with peonies, roses, astilbe, veronica and super scented sweet peas. Summer’s finest ingredients! I used soft grey eucalyptus foliage to accent the flowers. The boys had classic rose buttonholes, and have you ever seen such cute flower girls and page boys?! OMG!
I dressed the church with large stone urns filled with huge delphiniums, scented stocks, roses, peonies with lots of foliage. The pews were also decorated with floral pew ends, while the barn was filled with a mix of tall glass vases and low glass vases.
The alcoves in the barn were filled with jam jars and glass bottles, offering lots of colour to this usually empty space. I loved decorating Priston Mill for Rachael and Sekani and these flowers just scream summer! Such beautiful photos for a beautiful couple, huge congratulations and thank you for sending them through.
