Event Flowers at Somerset County Cricket Club

16th August 2012

Often known for our wedding flowers here at The Rose Shed so it was lovely to provide event flowers a few weeks ago at Somerset County Cricket Club, Taunton. The event held at the County Ground was an annual dinner celebration for  The Royal Town Planning Institute, South West. My brief was to use tall, impressive, seasonal flowers and to include blue, being their chosen logo colour.

I opted for modern looking floral arrangements placed on tall glass vases. This provided such impact within the room, and alongside the panoramic view of the ground, the finished room did look spectacular. Flowers used in the tall vases were white gladioli, cobalt blue delphiniums, molucella and white anthurium. I used aspidistra leaves, fatsia leaves and steel grass foliage to provide the modern look the RTPI were looking for. Delphiniums and Gladioli and perfect in the summer months and provide the wow factor that many companies look for when requesting event flowers.

I had lots of positive feedback from the helpful staff at the County Ground and they were really impressed with how the tall vases transformed the look of the room. I would highly recommend the Cricket Ground for corporate events and dinners, and they even do weddings so if you are a cricket fan this would be the ideal place to get married!
