Cripps Barn Wedding Flowers

I absolutely adore filling Cripps Barn in the Cotswolds with wedding flowers! It really is the most beautiful wedding venue, and in early September I filled the barn for Tessa and her husband to be. Tessa choose dusky pinks and ivory seasonal flowers for her big day and we really did go to town with the flowers!

Tessa wanted flower filled, natural looking bouquets so I used ‘sweet avalanche’ and ‘mentha’ roses, one a sweet pale pink and one a more muted, porcelain shade. These sat alongside lisianthus, spray roses and scented freesias, the bride’s favourites! I used various eucalyptus with pale pink wax flowers and hints of lavender for scent. I love this photo above!

The ceremony took place within Cripps Barn in front of the gorgeous fireplace. I dressed the ceremony table with a long and low trailing arrangement filled with seasonal delights. While the mantelpiece behind was also dressed throughout. I also flowered up two large hanging flower balls, which hang from the ceiling. These flower balls add so much wow factor and atmosphere to the barn, it is incredible. The ceilings are so high, they just break up the space and it is such an unusual decoration to have at your wedding, it really is a treat for your guests!

The tables were dressed with simple kilner jars, filled with ivory and dusky pink blooms including roses, stocks, lisianthus, wax flower, spray roses with foliage to complement. This not only offered beauty, but also scent to the room, which is really important.

Tessa commissioned the most beautiful cake from Curtis and Co. Cakes, I have met Jennie a few times now on various weddings in the Cotswolds, and she is so lovely to work with on the morning and a true professional. This simple ivory cake, was covered in blowsy roses, in a sweeping motion… quite the showstopper I’d say!

Congratulations to you both, I loved working with you on your big day and so thrilled you could send me this little snapshot into your happy day! If you like what you’ve seen, why not treat your loved-one to a bouquet from our shop.
