Camilla and Geoff at The Rectory, Malmsbury
I will be forever excited about weddings, and when these photos came though from Camilla and Geoff of their cotswolds wedding at The Rectory in Malmsbury, I was just so happy! We put so much work and effort into creating your wedding flowers for your big day. So it is always so special to receive professional images of your big day, where we can see everything come together perfectly! Camilla and Geoff were married in June at the local church next to The Rectory and then held their reception next door at the beautiful hotel.
Camilla chose a colour palette of dusky pinks, ivory, cappuccino tones with a touch of pale blue throughout. Such a sophisticated colour way for a summer wedding and adding that little bit of different to the dusky pink by adding the blue. When you see these photos you will see how well everything worked together! Camilla and the girls look absolutely stunning! Blush, dusky pink and ivory have been so popular over the last couple of years and you can see why as it is a beautiful combination. However, I love the idea of adding in a touch of another colour such as the pale blue or a darker plum or chocolate colour to add a little more depth.
June is the perfect month for peonies, as they have such a short season from mid April to mid July. June is when they are most at their optimum! Big fluffy headed peonies were used in the bouquets, alongside the most gorgeous cafe latte roses, which is a dusky pink/cappuccino really rich yet muted colour rose. There is no other rose like it and totally made these bouquets I think! I also used Quicksand roses, a nude coloured large headed rose, white astilbe, white sweetpeas which smell delicious and also oxypetalum a dainty pale blue flower offering texture and interest to the bouquets.
Foliage is always important in the loose, natural designs so I focused on pale grey foliage such as eucalyptus, olive, and senecio and added in trailing jasmine and hysteria vines. This offers an extra element of dainty, wispy interest to the bouquets. The buttonholes were dusky pink roses with soft grey foliage sprigs, tied with ribbon… the perfect accompaniment to the bouquets.
I just adore these beautiful images for Grace Elizabeth, this wedding was a dream to work on! Camilla absolutely stunning dress from The Mews, the white bridesmaid dresses… the shoes… all fit so perfectly together with the flowers and it looks like everyone just had the best day!
