Autumn Wedding Flowers in Bristol
Now we have settled fully into Autumn with the arrival of October, I want to share with you some fabulous options of autumnal wedding flowers that would be perfect for an October wedding. By emulating the rich colours at nature at this time of year, the reds, oranges, bronzes you can create the most amazing autumnal wedding flowers.
This bouquet has to be one of my favourites for an autumn wedding. A bridal hand tied bouquet filled with Grand Prix roses, Peach Avalanche roses, Talea roses, and cream spray roses, yet mixed with rich red oak foliage, fabulous rose hips and scabiosa seed heads. This adds interest and texture to what would be a traditional rose hand tied. We have seen peach creep into wedding flower trends this year so I wanted to bring this into Autumn by using the soft peach with the warmer, richer reds and I think it works brilliantly…Plus I got to use my brand new stripy ribbon to finish off the look!
Now onto a more natural and rustic hand tied bridal bouquet, for the more bohemian laid back kind of bride this would be perfect for your Autumn wedding! I used Large chrysanthemum bronze blooms here as the focus flower with cream spray roses to accent, with lots of lovely textured filler flowers such as aslepias, crocosmia, rose hips finished off with berried eucalyptus and red oak. A truly wild and wonderful autumnal bridal bouquet!
And not to forget the lads when it comes to wedding flower planning…! Buttonholes can be so much more creative nowadays rather than just a single bloom. By adding in various foliage sprigs, seed heads, berries and herbs you can create something more individual and unique to your wedding. You could all opt for the same type of buttonhole, or perhaps mix it up a little by using various blooms in the same colour way to be a little different. This orange dahlia was home grown and straight out of the garden!
I love the natural and flowing nature of the arrangement in this stone urn which would be great to decorate a mantel piece or side board in your wedding venue. I love using lots of foliage and texture in my work and autumn is such a great time of year for this, I feel this sums up this season for me!
