How to use Pinterest to plan your Wedding Flowers

Pinterest is an online, image sharing social network with a huge database of photos and images making it a perfect tool to help plan your wedding flowers. As a Somerset online based florist, I find Pinterest a hugely useful way of communicating with brides about their wedding flowers. This blog post will hopefully give you some handy hints on how to make the most of Pinterest when it comes to planning your wedding and how I, as a wedding florist use it in wedding planning too.

Hannah and Steve – Beautiful Cothay Manor Wedding

Last weekend I had the opportunity to create the most beautiful wedding flowers for a wedding held at Cothay Manor, Somerset. Cothay Manor is one of my favourite wedding venues so I was so pleased when I heard I would be providing wedding flowers for Hannah and Steve. The theme for the wedding was country, vintage focusing on pale pinks, greens and ivory. Hannah wore a stunning Sassi Holford dress which featured lace heavily. Excess lace from the dress was used to tie to the bridal bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets.

Charlotte and Dale – Wedding on a Somerset farm

I love creating wedding flowers for venues in the Somerset countryside, this weekend was a busy one at The Rose Shed with two weddings to create lovely flowers for! Charlotte and Dale got married in Milverton Church, and then held their reception at a marquee on a farm in Oake. As the wedding was set on a farm the couple wanted a relaxed, country style theme to their wedding flowers focusing on pale pinks, pale greens and ivory tones.

Holly and Adam – A Wedding on the Quantocks

On Saturday I was so chuffed to provide wedding flowers for a lovely couple who got married in one of my favourite places, the Quantocks, in Somerset. Holly and Adam got married at the beautiful little church in Enmore, which I decked out with pew ends and pedestal arrangements. I had been worried all week about the weather on their big day however as soon as I started to unload the van at the church the rain had lifted, and I even saw a touch of blue sky! I was feeling very optimistic that the sun would shine for them on their wedding day!
